Salvador Rueda

Salvador Rueda (Lleida, 1953) is an urban ecologist and president of the Urban and Territorial Ecology Foundation. He founded and directed the Urban Ecology Agency of Barcelona and holds an honorary doctorate from Veritas School of Architecture in Costa Rica. A pioneer in designing complex systems for sustainable urban development, Rueda has led more than 400 urban and territorial projects in 144 cities worldwide and is the author of several influential works on urbanism and sustainability.
