
Guadalupe Nettel
Guadalupe Nettel was born in Mexico DF in 1973. She is the writer of three books of short stories:
Juegos de artificio,
Les jours fossiles and
Pétalos. In 1992 she was awarded the Prix a la Meilleure Nouvelle en Langue Française for non Francophone countries given by Radio France Internationale. She writes for diverse French and Latin American magazines and literary supplements. She currently lives in Mexico city and has finished her PhD in Literature at Paris University.
El huesped is her first novel, and was published simultaneously in French (Actes Sud) and Spanish and has been awarded with the prestigious Anna Seghers Prize. With
Pétalos, her last book of short stories, she was awarded the Gilberto Owen National Prize for Literature in Mexico and the Antonin Artaud Prize.
